TRON and Tether to launch a new stablecoin on TRON blockchain
Tether Partner has announced plans to release a new version of its stablecoin on the Tron blockchain in the next quarter of 2019.
As before, the cryptocurrency will be pegged to the US dollar at a 1: 1 ratio, but will be a TRC-20 token that is similar and fully compatible with Ethereum’s ERC-20. The company has already partners with the Tron Foundation development team to launch USDT on the new platform.
Partners expect stablecoin will make it easier for users to interact with some decentralized applications and protocols based on Tron, and will also increase the liquidity of the TRX virtual currency by making its more accessible to institutional investors.
